Inside the Compass Cabin
The cabin carries seating for five people, with plenty of legroom to handle children and adults comfortably in the front and back. The heated driver and front passenger seats are a handy available feature, which keep you warm when the mercury dips. There’s also an available heated steering wheel, which allows you to get a better grip on things even when your hands may be a bit cold.
The ParkView® rear backup camera lets drivers see what’s happening behind the Compass when putting the car in reverse. The on-screen gridlines can guide you through the narrowest of spaces. Have some gear or groceries to load in? Do it easily with the standard 60/40 rear seats, which can be folded flat for maximum cargo space. Have passengers along for the ride? Leave one seat up and still have room for cargo.
Jeep Compass Off-Roading
Off-roading capability is a hallmark of every Jeep. Whatever the terrain is, be confident. The 2.4-liter engine in the base edition provides efficiency, performance, and 180 horsepower. But when you’re heading off pavement, the Compass has a pair of 4×4 systems, including Jeep® Active Drive™ and Active Drive™ Low with Trail-Rated® power.
When the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System is paired with the Jeep® Active Drive™ Low 4×4 System, you’ll enjoy outstanding traction on the road and standout off-road performance. Off-road options are capable of handling snow, sand, and mud. There’s also a fifth setting, rock, for your off-roading adventures. The Trail-Rated® Compass comes with high air intakes and water sealing, to assist with getting through water obstacles when off-roading.
Top-Notch Tech Features
The standard infotainment system in the Compass, the Uconnect® system, gives you control over entertainment, communication, and available navigation features. New for 2019 is the standard 7-inch touchscreen, which replaces the 5-inch version on previous models. Bluetooth® technology is standard, too, which makes it a breeze to play music or take a hands-free phone call.
There is an available larger touchscreen, which checks in at 8.4 inches. And, with the 7-inch driver information digital display, tailor your personal settings and graphics, and see the music you’re playing or the Selec-Terrain® system information up-close.
