If you go with the Limited (luxury) trim level, you’ll get a 1.3-liter turbocharged inline four engine, which delivers 177 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. It also gets 8 inches of ground clearance.

If you opt for the Trailhawk trim level, which is geared towards off-roading, you’ll get a special version of the four-wheel drive which is geared for trailblazing and comes with special low-range gear settings. This level also comes with tow hooks in the front and back as well as underbody skid plates and hill descent control.


Towing and Cargo Capacity

The Renegade boasts a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds, which provides more versatility when hauling cargo. It’s also plenty to take a small trailer on a road trip, or to pull along a small trailer when moving.

With all the seats up, it has 18.5 cubic feet of storage behind the back seats. When the seats (you get a split fold back seat) are down, this increases to a full 50.8 cubic feet of space, which is plenty to pack your luggage, sports equipment, or gear for your next road trip, event, or gig.

In the front seats you’ll get 41.2 inches of headroom, 55.9 inches of shoulder room, 41.2 inches of legroom, and 53.1 inches of hip space. In the back, you’ll have 40.5 inches of head space, 51.9 inches of hip room, 35.1 inches of legroom, and 55.1 inches of shoulder space. Overall, the Jeep Renegade can comfortably fit five passengers with 100 cubic feet of passenger volume inside its cabin.
