Dodge Durango Trim Levels

Dodge Durango Trim Levels

The 2021 Dodge Durango is a rugged, powerful SUV with the flexibility to meet your needs. There are eight different Durango trims, so you can choose which level of style, engine, or towing ability works best for you.

To help drivers from Chicago, Skokie, Park Ridge, or Forest Park learn more about each trim level, Marino Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram has put together this trim review.

SXT

The Durango SXT is the base trim of the Dodge Durango. There is plenty of power in this first trim with a 3.6L V6 engine with an output of 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

If you’re looking for towing capacity, this first trim level doesn’t disappoint. When properly equipped, you get a maximum towing capacity of 6,200 pounds. This is enough towing capacity to tow a powerboat or camping trailer.

SXT Plus

The SXT Plus is the next trim level up from the SXT. The SXT Plus comes standard with LED headlights and LED brake lights to help you see at night. When you’re approaching your vehicle, you can also activate perimeter/approach lights so you get a better idea of the ground around your car.

When those winter mornings hit, the Durango is prepared. Use the standard driver and passenger heated mirrors so they stay clear of snow and ice so you can see while on the go.

GT

The GT trim continues to build on the previous two Durango trims. You have the choice between rear-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive depending on which you might need. The all-wheel-drive system is a good choice for those looking for more traction in snow and rain or on uneven roads.

GT Plus

The GT Plus trim has several comfortable interior features to make your experience driving the Durango even better. The driver’s seat is a power 8-way adjustable seat with power 4-way lumbar support to get that perfect driving position. If you’re not the only driver, the driver’s memory seat will remember your favorite position, so it’s right every time.

RT

If you’re looking for more power in your Durango, the RT trim might be for you. This Durango trim gets a step up when it comes to the engine with a 5.7 V8 engine that has a powerful 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft of torque. You also get a boost in maximum towing capacity to 7,400 pounds.

Citadel

Are you a fan of a leather interior? The Citadel trim takes style a step further with its standard leather seating and door trim insert material. Your steering wheel will even be a combined leather and metal look.

For comfort and style, the Citadel’s front seats are ventilated to keep you cool in the summer and heated for those cold winter days.

SRT

As one of the Durango’s top trims, the SRT trim comes with an even more powerful engine than the RT. With a maximum towing capacity of 8,700 pounds, the 6.4L V8 engine does not disappoint. You’ll also get 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.

SRT Hellcat

The SRT Hellcat trim is the top trim of the Durango models. You’ll not only get the most powerful engine available with a 6.2L V8 engine with 710 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque, but you’ll get a stylish and comfortable interior.

You can enjoy standard leather seating, heated seats, and a standard Uconnect® infotainment system. If you want to take the tech one step further, opt for the available in-vehicle navigation.
