Jeep Compass Trim Levels
As Chicago, Skokie, and Park Ridge drivers begin shopping for their next Compass, they’ll have four different trim levels to choose from. Each comes with different features and amenities.
To help you decide between them, our team at Marino Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram has put together this helpful guide to the 2017 Jeep Compass trims.
We’ll start with the base model and work our way up. Please note that unless otherwise stated, most features in the first level will remain consistent throughout the rest.
Blending power and efficiency, the 2017 Jeep Compass Sport is equipped with a 2.4L inline 4-cylinder MultiAirengine. This engine can generate 180 horsepower, all while maintaining 31 highway MPG and 22 city MPG.1
To complement your off-road fun, features like the all-wheel drive (AWD) suspension and Selec-Terrain® system come standard in the Compass. With this winning combination, your SUV will be able to navigate the trickiest roads.
For your comfort, the Sport includes soft cloth trim. As you settle back into your 6-way manually adjustable driver’s seat, you’ll also have access to convenient push-button start.
The core of Sport entertainment is the Uconnect® 5.0 suite. This suite includes a 6-speaker audio system, integrated voice commands with Bluetooth®, and a USB port and auxiliary jack.
The Sport is packed with safety features. First and foremost, you’ll have optimum control with features like Speed and Traction Management. However, throw Rain Brake Support into the mix, and your stopping power will be greatly enhanced.
You’ll also be able to make great use of the ParkView® rear backup camera. Use it to pull in and out of tight spots!
In this trim level, some of your standard features will receive helpful enhancements. The 6-speed manual transmission found in the Sport, for instance, is now upgraded to an AutoStickautomatic transmission. And your AWD suspension will be backed by a normal-duty suspension.
Cloth seating is upgraded to a premium cloth and vinyl mix, and the steering wheel is now wrapped in leather.
Furthermore, you can add a CommandView® dual pane panoramic sunroof for a bit of extra style and temperature control.
From this trim level forward, you can upgrade the standard Compass audio system to a Beats™ premium audio system.
The exterior receives a few enhancements at this point, too. To increase your visibility, automatic headlights with fog and cornering lamps have been added. Deep tint sunscreen glass has also been included.
The Trailhawk® engine is equipped with efficient Stop-Start technology, which will automatically cut and restart the engine when idling to conserve fuel.
A 9-speed automatic transmission and off-road suspension have also been added. This suspension will really aid in off-road driving, as will the new Hill Descent Control.
The seating trim is altered once again, this time to a cloth and leather mix. Stylish red interior stitching accents have also been added, as well as a leather-wrapped shift knob.
For increased temperature control, you’ll have dual-zone climate control. All-season floor mats have also been added, to protect your interior from the elements.
The Uconnect® system is now upgraded to the 8.4, with a bigger LCD touchscreen and additional SiriusXM® Satellite Radio.
To fully integrate your mobile device, you’ll have access to Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.
Capping off the more rugged Trailhawk® is the addition of tow hooks to the exterior of your vehicle.
The biggest powertrain difference in the Limited is the new remote start. With this feature, you can fire up your engine and get the heat or A/C going without leaving the house.
The majority of Limited additions are in the vehicle’s interior, however. In this trim level, you’ll have an all-new heated 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat with 4-way adjustable lumbar support. The entire vehicle will include leather trim with performance inserts, as a matter of fact.
You’ll also have access to a heated steering wheel and auto dimming rearview mirror.
