Jeep Grand Cherokee Specs

The Jeep Grand Cherokee specs show that this SUV works hard under the hood. It gives you a choice between five available engines based on your trim level:

• 3.6L Pentastar® V6: 293 horsepower, 260 lb-ft of torque
• 5.7L V8: 360 horsepower, 390 lb-ft of torque
• 6.4L HEMI® V8: 475 horsepower, 470 lb-ft of torque
• 6.2L Supercharged V8: 707 horsepower, 645 lb-ft of torque

The 3.6L engine can come with 2-wheel drive (2WD) but the other engines are only available with a Jeep Active Drive 4-Wheel Drive (4WD) system. They can also tow a maximum of 7,200 pounds when properly equipped. The 3.6L engine can tow up to 6,200 pounds with 4WD.

The 4WD drivetrains come with the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System, which lets you choose between up to five different settings based on the terrain you face, including Snow, Sand, and Mud.

All four engines come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
