Jeep Renegade Trims
The key to a great drive is choosing the right Jeep Renegade trim level. This SUV gives you a choice of four:
Sport- Latitude
- Trailhawk
- Limited
The Sport is the base trim and sets a strong foundation of standard features. These include Keyless Go push-button start and the ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera.
The other configurations add on from there. For example, the Jeep Renegade Latitude includes the Uconnect® 4 infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay™, and Android Auto™ as standard features.
The Limited, on the other hand, comes with all the bells and whistles, including heated seats and steering wheel and Rain-Sensitive Windshield Wipers.
Jeep Renegade Specs
The Jeep Renegade is always ready to get up and go with a powertrain that’s hard at work under the hood. These Renegade specs include two engine options:
1.3L MultiAir®2 Turbo I-4: 177 horsepower, 210 lb-ft of torque- 2.4L Tigershark® MultiAir®2 I-4: 180 horsepower, 175 lb-ft of torque
Both come paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission to improve efficiency and optimize performance.
These powertrains can also operate in front-wheel drive (FWD) or with the Jeep Active Drive 4X4 (4-wheel drive) system. This traction-maximizing feature includes the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management system, which lets you choose among five drive modes:
- Auto
- Snow
- Sand
- Mud
- Rock
Rock mode is available with the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk trim level, which includes the Jeep Active Drive Low system for those really tough outings.
Jeep Renegade Safety Technology
Whether you’re taking your Renegade to the office or out on the open road, you can count on this SUV to deliver additional safety and confidence with its available driver-assist systems. These include smart features like:
LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist- Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Path Detection
It also comes with Available Auto High-Beam headlamps. These can help you navigate during low-visibility conditions by automatically toggling your high beams on and off based on the number of cars on the road, traffic signals, and traffic patterns. This way, you can focus more on driving and less on turning off your high beams when another car approaches on a dark back road.
Certain trim levels add in an extra layer of safety during inclement weather, as well, with the Rain-Sensitive Windshield Wipers. These automatically turn on and adjust their speed based on the rate of precipitation on the windshield.
